Max Noi Mach - Untitled - CDr
![]() |
When I traded this CDr with Max Noi Mach he said this one was recorded a few days prior and “just beats” - “For DJ’s,” he continued jokingly. Compared with the “One Deep” LP (review of that one over here) this CDr indeed sports a bit less noise in between the beats - This kinda makes this release a bit more sterile, the LP has a high live-feel, the tracks on this CDr give the impression to be more studied. |
Still, it’s an excellent release, especially the tracks with vocals on - The vocals on “One Deep” were mostly human noise box (some exceptions put aside) - This one sports some “real singing”, and boy, these tracks are damn catchy, in some way they remind me of the Residents experimental pop-style, but transported to a hardcore blamblamblam-context - “For DJ’s” - I’ll sure be playing track 4 at a friends’ wedding-party this saturday. Not sure if it’s Max Noi Mach himself that’s doing the lyrics, “Featuring Big Daddy NUGG” the (poorly printed) sleeve says. 24 minutes, 7 tracks. Excellent stuff to aim at people’s feet.

Actually, the 4th track wasn’t the one that I intended to play, and on top of that I lost the -unlabeled- CDr in the action. Wedding parties… Grmpf.
