SILVOXSHARKEE KATZ- "the Philadelphia Sessions" - cs24
Black Pollack, Catholic genius from Western Massachusetts. This tape is a mix of stand-up comedy and spoken-word. Most of these "jokes" were written in a CVS-bought white lined paper notebook. They were mostly written in his Polish grandparents basement. He owns a tropical fish store in the Indian Orchard section of Springfield, Mass. This release is self-described as the first ever "Comedy Mix-Tape". Factory duplicated & imprinted. Black & white photocopied cover.

FASENUOVA- "Hegemonia/Goodbye" - 2xCS
This is a double cassette release, factory duplicated & imprinted. Professional covers. Fasenuova is from the Asturias region of Spain. Roberto Lobo and Ernesto Avelino have been playing together since the mid-1980's with very little exposure. Their first release was under the name "Etica Makinal". It was a limited-edition cassette called "Ante Todo, Calma", released in 1986 on a small Spanish label called "Sindicato de Trabajadores Imaginarios". They also had a few songs on a few different, very obscure, mid-80's industrial compilations. In the 90's they had changed their name to "Hegemonia", having only one self-released album called "Arabian Nights". The first cassette on this double tape release is a reproduction of most of the songs on "Arabian Nights". Later in the 90's and until 2002 they were known as "Goodbye" because most of the people they played to left while they were playing. The second tape is a collection of some released and non-released music from this era. They currently play under the name "Fasenuova" and have a split 12" released on Ozonokids with the American band "Angeldust", which can be found below. Industrial music, Spanish lyrics. They use analog drum machines and analog synthesizers covered in Ernesto's slightly distorted/delayed vocals. Fasenuova's live shows are very energetic. They are directly influenced by early Esplendor Geometrico, Vagina Dentata Organ and Whitehouse.

M AX NOI MACH/DIAGRAM: A- Split 7"
A split 7" single between M Ax Noi Mach and Diagram:A. Northeast American extreme underground noise music. The Diagram:A side was recorded years ago and intended for a compilation that I was putting out in 2003. My side was recorded over a year ago, forgotten & then re-found while scrounging through old 4-track tapes. Both sides are rhythmic & industrial. If you don't know, Diagram:A makes his own, very elaborate, electronic instruments. This is co-released by Silvox, Greenwood Electronic and Breaking World Records. The Diagram:A side is "Unnamed" and the M Ax Noi Mach side is called "Via Negativa".

Uppers/Downers - cs
Angeldust's only ever concept tape. All original material, meticulously planned and then jammed. The first side was recorded after taking a copious amount of cocaine. We took a break for a while and then smoked a copious amount of opium. We then went back and recorded again. Not our best release, but a good experience documented with a few great musical moments.

s/t - CDR
Angeldust's first release. Recorded while all living together in a dust covered warehouse, barely seeing any daylight at all. "Planned then Jammed". Harsh & mid-fi noise songs with a minimal power-electronic influence and an untellable rhythm. Songs with changes and vocals. Oscillators, home-modified/made guitars, internal feedback.

Split w/ Unchained - 7" - Ozonokids
Unchained is Nate Davis, originally from Providence, Rhode Island. Now you might find him nomadically roaming around the globe. Your best bets are in Berlin, Buenos Aires, Barcelona, Philadelphia or New York City. He is a master of feedback manipulation. On this 7" all the sounds are either guitar or voice fed through internal feedback which are then barely recognizable as voice or guitar. A bit of melody still remains. There are two songs on his side, one pretty harsh song and one harsh pretty song.
The M Ax Noi Mach side has one long, slow song cleverly named "Slowned". This side is a little less harsh than usual. Their are no vocals, just a clean beat occasionally becoming blown out and intentionally distorted. Reminiscent of early industrial music.Cover art by Nate Davis & Robert Francisco.$5
One Deep - 10" - Ozonokids
Retrospectively, I'd say this release would have been better on a cassette. I recorded, ordered, and planned this as if it were a cassette, also adding noise filler that I shouldn't have put on vinyl. So now, 4 years later, I would say this is a "Cassette Release on Vinyl". As for the music - beats, vocals & feedback. As always, a grey area between popular genre's: both over & underground. Drum-machines and vintage mixers. All 90's gear, pre-computer. "One Deep" - a reference to being a loner and going into public places by/as oneself, not needing friends or the social acceptance/approval of near-like-minded individuals.
$10Split w/ PCPCG - cs
Most of the M Ax Noi Mach side is a jam session recorded in 2003. Wild, a bit free and rhythmic. Appearing on the jam is Crystal Stokowski. PCPCG is Carly Ptak, of Nautical Almanac and Chiara Giovando, of Harrius. They recorded their side in 1999 in Chicago, it is 6 songs. Violin, modified electronics, vocals and more.

A pre-Silvox, Silvox release. Legendary Philadelphia underground character, Darren Finizio. This tape is a release of his at-home 4 track recordings from 1996. The tape collages together spoken-word pieces, outsider folk songs, psychadelic synth pieces and cut & paste radio clips. It features the birth of many of his "Identity Bands": Muscle Factory, Freedom People, etc. He is also the man behind these bands: Hoppy the Frog, Paraplegic, Stan & the Ass-Bandits, Dyke, the original "Faggot", the Open-Minded Men and Anti-Social Stalker, amongst many others. He recorded this while living in his parent's basement. Self-aware, exposed, self-to-self conversations. 90 minutes long. Volumes 4+5 will be released on Silvox in the relatively near future.

"Up All Nite"- Booklet
An 80 page, totally handmade booklet made by Robert Francisco. Compiled from drawings, photographs and silk-screened prints made between 2004 and 2007. 16 of the pages are silk-screened. 8 are three color and 8 are two color. The cover is also a 2 color print. The whole book is symmetrically set-up, the image on page #1 resembles the image on page #80. The image on page #2 resembles the image on page #79, so on & so forth until reaching the middle. As far as the art goes, it paints a pornographic, psychadelic, post-apocalyptic picture. Bloody hands, naked breasts, drug-addicts, prostitutes, old cars, islamic patterns, medieval patterns & distorted faces. Partially inspired by his time spent in North Philadelphia, in or around the "EL". This book lives in a nasty world, beautifully documenting some of the darker sides of American living.
